Laura and Buchanan leave for home. He will return to London after visiting Venice, although he wishes to return to Rome in the Autumn to finish his great picture. He expects to be in Scotland for the summer, with
Mr. Graham, consequent from the commission that he accepted before all the troubles began.
He will leave [for Venice] with
Charlie Acland. He has had a photo done of his picture. Laura has enjoyed herself in Rome, not so much J.B. B[uchanan], who is not so capable of enjoyment. Thornton has made a good step in the right direction.
