He thinks the idea of limiting works sent to the R.A. very sensible, but it is against the interests of "trade" as the Academy is the "best shop in the kingdom" and he thinks the proposal will arose opposition. Many reforms are needed and some Academicians desire change. He suggests that medals should be given, as at the salon.
