He has completed his large picture for Prince Borghese, will now study from nature in the countryside, before returning to continue on Harvey's picture. He has failed to buy works by the old masters and so suggests that copies be made for Harvey's use in his painting. He congratulates Harvey on securing a work by
Claude Lorrain, he will endeavour to make a companion for it.
