Content Description

He has recovered to the extent that he can take a walk in the garden. He asks if Humphry has bumped into Mr. Towne, as he left Exeter to seek a house in Cavendish Square. Mrs Towne set off with the servants a week ago and he hopes that they have found somewhere. He looks forward to hear about the progress of the Arts and whether Sir George Beaumont's Claude has recovered from the injury that it sustained when being moved from his house to Pall Mall.

He is in possess of the manuscript autobiography of their late friend Mr. Jackson, it is very interesting, but he doubts whether it will be published. He will know more when Thomas Jackson, his son, returns from Trieste.
