The writer was much entertained by Humphry's account of his travels in france; his mother is well, as is her Uncle; they attend the meetings every Wednesday, but only as the writer encourages them; the writer lays out recent births marriages and deaths amongst the Humphry family's acquaintances in and around Honiton and does so with obvious enjoyment.
