Summer Exhibition catalogues, dissected and mounted into guard books. Notations record prices of works offered for sale, together with a note if the work sold and any specific instructions from the artist, such as restructions of copyright.
Arrangement
Initially the catalogues are quarto and result in tall volumes, after the First World War the octavo catalogues are used. From 1959 a new system of loose-leaf case binders are used. These binders have been removed to better protect the contents and save space.
