He discusses Robert Smirke's chances [in the Academy election]; Humphries [sic] will vote with them as will Loutherbourg; Mrs. Lloyd will not vote; he hopes Phillips will; he continues to discuss tactics, mentioning Thomson and Owen in reference to the chances of Drummond, also Sandby, Nollekens and Hoppner, who cannot be relied upon; he sends a letter from Howard; West is to bring diplomas for Howard and Phillips.
