Providing fatherly advice in relation to Ernest's anxiety over his work. He hopes this week to see the President of the R.I.B.A., to see about Ernest's nomination as an associate. He has lectures to prepare and is to go to Windsor to see drawings by
Holbein and
Leonardo. He is getting on with the cartoons, but is still finishing the last of the walls of the S[ession] House.
Mother is well, although she over-does herself. They hope to go to Florence in December.
