Summary Note
The publication-date is given on the title page as 1768. Some illustrations carry the publication-date of 1766; two, that of 1756 (pp. 100, 102).
Although the title page describes this as a 'Complete Edition of Hogarth's Works', in the Advertisment the Author asks to be excused 'in his omission of the print of the Times' and 'of those of 'Before, and, After'.

An electronic reproduction was published in 2003 (Farmington Hills, Mich.: Thomson Gale). A microfilm copy was published in 1997 (Woodbridge CT: Research Publications). The work was microfilmed by the British Library in 1988.

The front pastedown is inscribed in ink, 'John Drinkwater 1841'. Front and rear endpapers are inscribed in ink, 'RD' with a coronet above. The front pastedown is inscribed in pencil, 'S:a:H' (i.e. Solomon Alexander Hart, R.A., who was the Academy's Professor of Painting, 1854-63, and Librarian, 1864-81). Page 121 is annotated in pencil, 'Signor Castrucci came over from Italy with the Earl of Burlington in 1715. He was a famous performer on the violin.'
Binding Note
18th-century calf; rebacked in 20th century, retaining earlier gilt-decorated spine-piece and red morocco spine-label lettered 'Hogarth Moralized'.
