Most plates are signed (as drawn) by Prisse d'Avennes; some, by Girault de Prangey; in Volume III a few are signed as by W. de Famars-Testas, Ch. Cournault, Yahia el-Wacetty. They are signed as engraved by Jules Penel, Sulpis, A. Soudain, Chappuis, Digeon, Brück, Huguet Jne., or as lithographed by Mathieu, Bayot, Philippe Benoist, Ch. Fichot, Monthelier, F. Sorrieu, Asselineau, Bernard Schmidt, Mouilleron, Léveil, Georges Weber, E. Spiegel, Marchand, Wolfart (or Wohlfart), Anrich, Urrabieta, Lebreton (or Le Breton), G. Sanier, Lemoine, Painlevé, Regamey, Daumont, Laugier, Edwin, L. Kuppenheim, Levié, Ollé, Méheux, Bauer, Lestel, J. Coin. Two plates (157, 158) are signed 'Heliographie Garnier'.

Most carry the imprint of the printer Lemercier et Cie., or that of Ch. and A. Chardon; some, that of Hangard-Maugé. Many carry also the imprint of the publisher Vve. A. Morel et Cie.

A tailpiece in the text of Volume I is signed 'Guillaumot Junior' and 'J. Penel del.'

The 'Texte' volume includes 'Analyse' and 'Tables Générales des Planches de l'Atlas' (pp. 255-296).

Several lithographs are printed in colour (pl. 48, 50-53, 56-62, 65, 68-75, 94, 101, 107-133, 139, 140, 142-156, 162, 163, 166-172, 174-200).
