Summary Note
The publication-date of 1810 is given on the title page. The letters themselves carry the dates of 1807, 1809, 1812 and 1813.
The text consists of letters from Giovanni Rosini to Ippolito Pindemonte or Gio. Gherardo De' Rossi, and from De' Rossi to Rosini. Rosini comments on Lasinio's engravings of the 14th-century frescoes by Francesco Traini and others in the Camposanto.
The two plates show paintings of Christian subjects. The in-text illustrations (headpieces) show views, architectural details and sarcophagi.
