Most plates carry names of draughtsman and engraver (in a few cases those of earlier artists such as Hollar). Draughtsmen include Schnebbelie, F. Nash, W. Capon, Geo. Jones, W. Hollar, H. Gardner, G. Shepherd, William Goodman, C.J.M. Whichelo, J. Carter, Fellows, C. Westmacott, E. Burney, B. Howlett, T.H. Shepherd, Banks, Ravenhill, W. Oram. Engravers include J. Stow, T. Dale, B. Howlett, Whichelo, W. Wise, S. Rawle, T. Bourne, H. Cook, M. Springsguth, W. Hollar, Joseph Skelton, Silvestre, Richard Sawyer, S. Springsguth junr., Taylor.
Each plate, with the exception of pl. [107] (where it is probably present but overpasted), carries the publisher's imprint - of William Herbert, Lambeth, and Robert Wilkinson, 58 Cornhill (from 1808 Jun1 to 1809 Oct 11), or Robert Wilkinson, 58 Cornhill (from 1810 Oct 11 to 1815 Dec 1), or Robert Wilkinson, 125 Fenchurch Street (from 1816 Oct 11 to 1823 Jan 1).
The publication-date of 1819 is carried by the title-plate. The plates carry earlier and later dates. The first group of plates had been issued in June 1808 by William Herbert (without collective title), the second in November and December 1808 by William Herbert and Robert Wilkinson, in a wrapper carrying the title 'Scarce Topographical Prints. No. II. ... of Londina Illustrata ...'. The plates continued to be issued serially until 1819, when they became available with the collective title-plate and contents-list described here. Further plates were issued between 1820 and 1823, and, according to Adams, issued as a continuation volume in that year, but without title-page or title-plate. A posthumous edition was published in 1834 in two volumes with two check-lists, and, according to Adams, this brought the total number of plates up to 206. In the Royal Academy's copy the plates carry dates ranging from 1808 to 1823, as follows:
