The text is divided into five sections: Achilleide; Oresteide; Odysseide; Appendice; Additions Et Corrections.
The plates are mostly outline drawings, taken from vases, mirrors, paintings and other ancient sources; but five are printed in colour (pl. 18, 31A, 44, 44A, 64).
