In Vol. I the unnumbered engraved title-plate is followed by plates 1-38 of Part 1; an unnumbered plates showing 'Numismatum Magnitudines' and the 98 plates of Part 2 (the first of which incorporates the divisional title). In Volume II there are 129 plates of Part 3 (the first of which incorporates the divisional title), followed by the unnumbered divisional title-plate of Part 4 and plates 1-41 of Part 4.

Summary Note

The title of Part 2 (given in its plate 1) is 'Numismatum Antiquorum In Musæo Pembrochiano Sylloges Pars II'; that of Part 3 (given in its plate 1) is 'Numismatum Antiquorum In Musæo Pembrochiano Sylloges Pars III'; that of Part 4 (given in its divisional title-plate) is 'Nummi Anglici et Scotici cum aliquot Numismatibus recentioribus collegit Thomas Pembrochiæ et Montis Gomerici Comes'.

The plates show the choicest coins in Lord Pembroke's collection - and also some fake coins purporting to be of Priam, Aesop, Julius Caesar and Otho (of which J. Evelyn had already written in his A Discourse of Medals).

A small-paper issue was also published in the same year.

18th-century mottled calf, upper covers gilt-stamped with arms of Britain and 'R A', rebacked in 20th century, red and green spine-labels lettered 'Numismata Antiqua Pembrochiana Tom. I (II)'.
