The publication-date of 1703 is carried by the title-page. Each of the seven letters carries the date of 1679.
The plate shows a man sharpening a quill over a copy of Felsina Pi[ttrice], and is captioned 'Ut Scribat Non Feriat'. The book also carries a title-page vignette, headpieces, tailpieces and decorated initials.
