Summary Note
The date of the 'Privilege' is given as 1657: in that year a 20-year copyright was granted to Claudine Bouzonnet Stella to engrave, print and publish the drawings of her uncle, Jacques Stella, 'Peintre ordinaire du Roy'.
The plates show country activities, such as farming, animal husbandry, harvesting, vintage, games and dancing, weddings and home life.
