Responsibility Note

All but two plates (31, 51) are signed as drawn by M. Haughton [i.e. Matthew Haughton (1766-1821) or Moses Haughton (1773-1849)]. Most are signed by engravers - usually J. Dadley or Raddon, sometimes Schiavonetti [i.e. Luigi Schiavonetti (1765-1810) or Niccolò Schiavonetti (ca. 1771-1813)], Swaine, Skelton [i.e. William Skelton (1763-1848) or Joseph Skelton (1781-1850)] . Many plates carry the publisher's imprint of J.Johnson and the date (usually 1 January 1809, sometimes 2 January 1809).

The printer's name is repeated in the colophon.

The work is dedicated by Edward Moor to Jonathan Duncan, Governor of Bombay.
