Summary Note
The letter of Holsten has its own title-page, of which the title is 'Lucae Holstenii Epistola Ad Franciscum Cardinalem Barberinum De Fulcris Seu Verubus Dianæ Ephesiæ appositis' and the imprint reads 'Romæ, Apud Ioannem Baptistam Bussottum. MDCLXXXVIII. Superiorum Permissu.' The notes of Bellori have a title-page, carrying the title, 'Io. Petri Bellorii Notæ In Numismata Tum Ephesia, Tum Alarum Urbium Apibus Insignita' (there is no publisher's imprint), and the half-title, 'Numismata Tum Ephesia, Tum Aliarum Urbium Apibus Insignita'.
Most of the plates have captions indicating whether the image was taken from a statue, coin or gem, and sometimes stating in which Roman collection the source-object might be found.
