The Natural History of Man was first published in parts in 1841-42, and in book form in 1843. It was the condensed version of Prichard's five-volume Researches Into the Physical History of Mankind (1836-47).
Includes 53 hand colour lithographs and 4 one colour tinted lithographs. Some of the engravings are signed. Eight are engraved by J. Harris after George Catlin; others are engraved by J. Bull. some after Branwhite.
