Physical Description

T.pl., 18 pl.; 376×520 mm.

Responsibility Note

The title-plate-cum-dedication is signed as designed by 'Hieronymus Columna' and engraved by 'Julianus Giampiccolus'. The eighteen numbered plates are all signed as designed by 'Marc: Ricci' and engraved by 'Iulian: Giampiccoli'. The title-plate speaks of 'adnitente Joanne Bapta Theupolo', and it appears that G.B. Tiepolo etched the figures on the plate before Giampiccoli etched the landscapes round them.

Summary Note

No publication-date appears on the title-plate or other plates. Scholars dispute whether the work was published before or after Bartolomeo Zucconi's death in November 1735.

This set of 'Primas has decem et octo Tabulas, Marci Riccii' was followed by another set of eighteen.

The plates all show landscapes.
