General Note
Volumes one to six of mounted plates from a series of portfolios containing reproductions of Old Master drawings in the Print Room of the Königliche Museums in Berlin. Each portfolio consists of the list of enclosed mounted plates printed on the front pastedown of the portfolio, a printed title-page and the mounted plates. None of the portfolios is dated, but they possibly date from the 1880s. The series appears to have been reprinted in the early 1900s. Vol. 1 contains plates 1-25; vol. 2, plates 26-50; vol. 3, plates 51-75; vol. 4, plates 76-100; vol. 5, plates 101-130; vol. 6, plates 131-160. The first volume was actually published by the studio producing the collotype reproductions, Albert Frisch. Frisch was responsible for all the repductions in these volumes.
