Engraver and painter. Studied in Birmingham, and (1824) in London; from ca. 1825 worked in London. Son of engraver Thomas Brandard (d. 1830); brother of lithographer John Brandard (1812-63) and print-maker and painter Edward Paxman Brandard (1819-98).
