David Bogue (1808-1856), print and book publisher and bookseller. Born 16 October 1808 in East Lothian. He became the assistant of Thomas Ireland, a bookseller in Edinburgh, but moved to London in 1836 to work for Charles Tilt. Tilt had his shop at 86 Fleet Street and specialised in illustrated books and lithographic prints. In partnership with Tilt from 1840, and succeeded him in 1842.
