A pen and ink drawing of a standing angel seen in profile from the left with her right hand raised and her head lifted. At her foot is an anchor. This drawing is for the figure of an angel that Gibson depicted on his relief commemorating Edward and Margaret Roscoe (ca. 1840, Unitarian Church, Ullet Rd., Liverpool, also known as 'Hope'). The drawing is in outline with some hatched shading and is within a rectangular pen and ink border.
