Published on 15 July 2024
Tracey Emin RA has won the 2024 Charles Wollaston Award for the "most distinguished work" in the Summer Exhibition.
Each year we present prizes for outstanding works in the Summer Exhibition. Over £80,000 is offered in awards and prizes for several categories of work in the exhibition, including sculpture, architecture, drawing, works on paper, painting, photography and prints.
This year the prestigious £35,000 Charles Wollaston Award has been won by Tracey Emin RA for Did it Ever Get Any Better. Established in 1978 and presented to the "most distinguished work" in the exhibition, it is one of the most significant art prizes awarded in the UK. The judges for this year's award were Stephen Farthing RA, Anna Moszynska and Joana Neves.
We are extremely grateful to our prize donors for enabling us to recognise exceptional works in the Summer Exhibition in this way.
