He is glad to hear her story is nearly done but thinks it awful that the S.P.C.K. should keep her in suspense. He is enjoying his time in Assisi and describes some of the Easter celebrations he has seen. He thought Paris splendid, but the French men "sickening". His travelling companions
Eden and Smith are either too lazy or too helpless.
