Pasted to the front free endpaper is an undated autograph letter by Charles Lock Eastlake RA. The letter is signed `C.L.E. Libr.` so must have been written between 13 July 1842 and 18 December 1844 when Eastlake was the Academy's Librarian.
The front pastedown carries a 20th century Royal Academy bookplate
