Summary Note

The forty plates are all views of the colleges, other University buildings or the city of Oxford, apart from pl. [2] (a map of the city), pl. [10] (figures in academic dress), and pl. 21 (Winchester college).

In the same year as this book was published Loggan became a British citizen. From 1676 he worked on his Cantabrigia Illustrata, which appeared in 1690.
